Kojic acid

Is a pathway made of fermented by microorganisms of organic compounds with a weak acid , the English name KOJIC ACID. Kojic acid is fine white or almost white needle-like crystals ; soluble in water, alcohol, acetone , slightly soluble in ether, ethyl acetate , chloroform and pyridine , insoluble in benzene ; its molecular formula is C6H6O4, a molecular weight of 142.1 , a melting point of 153 ~ 156 º C. 1 , used in the field of cosmetics . Whitening in human skin , tyrosine tyrosine enzyme catalysis , and oxygen free radicals by complex oxidation, polymerization , the final synthesis of melanin . Kojic acid can inhibit the synthesis of tyrosinase , which can strongly inhibit the formation of melanin in the skin , and safe non-toxic, does not produce white sequelae , it has been blended with kojic acid lotion, mask , lotion, skin cream , made effective in the treatment of freckles, age spots , pigmentation, acne and other whitening cosmetics. 20ug/ml Kojic acid can inhibit a variety of concentrations of tyrosinase ( also known as polyphenol oxidase PPO) 70 to 80% of the activity , in cosmetics

 

Recommended dosage of 0.2 to 1.0%.
