Properties: Apple green flake or emerald green crystal particles. Soluble in inorganic acid and ammonia water, insoluble in water, methyl acetate and ethyl acetate. Long-term exposure to the air turns gray. It loses part of its crystal water when it is heated to a semi-melted yellow body, which is called "nickel yellow".

Uses: Used as a paint for oil paints and watercolors. It can also be used for electroplating and other yellow pigments.
